It was our first time at brunch. A very warm welcome. Beautifully set. The first rolls were rock hard, but they were quickly fixed. The buffet was very good and had a good selection. Excellent value for money. We really enjoyed it and will be back.
We ordered, among other things, a roast beef steak, specifying well done. After 50 minutes, the order arrived, and it was anything but well done—both the steak and the fries. We were then offered two options over the phone: redelivery or simply microwave the steak. For €35.80, I 'm certainly not going to microwave it (we don 't even have one), nor am I going to finish cooking it at home. It 's truly unbelievable.
We placed an order today at approximately 4:15 PM via the website for delivery at 6:00 PM. When it still hadn 't arrived by 6:30 PM, we called to inquire. If you can select a specific delivery time when placing an order, we expect at least a reasonably punctual delivery. We were told that the driver was already on his way. After another 20 minutes (with a travel time of about five minutes), we called again and were informed that the driver would be there shortly, as they were simply very busy today. Five minutes later, the driver actually arrived and explained that he was the only driver and that they were particularly busy due to a private event. While this may well be the case during the pre-Christmas season, we still wonder whether, in such situations, the number of deliveries shouldn 't be limited, deliveries temporarily suspended, or customers at least informed by phone or email. This would have allowed us to plan better. ' ... The food itself was unfortunately disappointing: it was only lukewarm and had to be reheated in the microwave – consequently, it didn 't taste very good. Furthermore, the vegetables in both the tarte flambée and the baked potato were cut very thickly and some were still raw. The grilled peppers were hardly grilled at all and were practically swimming in oil. Overall, we were very dissatisfied today.
There 's no accounting for taste. Personally, I didn 't like anything. Okay, the pretzel was good. Two kinds of sausage, one kind of sliced cheese, that was it. But salmon, the main thing was salmon. Anyone who likes it was happy. The Nutella in a jar was more than a little smeared, and the pre-packaged jam was constantly running out. Oh, and butter, yes, there was butter too. At least when it wasn 't sold out. Then the culinary highlight: a tiny, torn-up pretzel with vanilla sauce and pineapple. Oh dear, who comes up with such an idea? Phew! But as I said, tastes differ. Imagine if we all had the same taste, oh dear! Oh, and one more thing: if you want to try the world 's smallest rolls at least once in your life, now you know where to find them. We had a reservation for brunch on Sunday. Seven people at a table for six
