The Rooster restaurant in Worcester has had mixed reviews lately. While some customers rave about their special Chow Mein, others have complained about inedible dishes such as duck and ribs. Some long-time patrons have also noted a decline in quality and rude service. However, loyal customers appreciate the history and consistently tasty meals offered at Rooster, making it a go-to spot in Worcester for Chinese takeout. Overall, the restaurant seems to have its ups and downs, but for many, the delicious chow mein and friendly staff keep them coming back for more.

This special chow mein is truly exceptional. It is topped with an egg omelet and is enough to even have for breakfast. The crispy fresh prawn crackers served alongside it are also delicious! View all feedback.

What Witch999 dislikes about Rooster:
After visiting my mother-in-law, I decided to treat myself on the way home. I have been consistently disappointed by several Chinese/Cantonese takeout restaurants in Worcester, so I decided to try a new place called Rooster. I ordered a special Chow Mein and the smell on the way home was mouth-watering. It exceeded my expectations - the container was packed full with a generous amount of meat and perfectly cooked noo... Excellent food. We have been going to the Rooster for over 10 years and it is consistently good. Quick service and decent value.

I have previously given a 5star review. And I stand by that for the special noodles but last night I ordered the special rice, with a order for my , I prefer a curry hubby , who order half a duck and ribs Both of his dishes were inedible , the duck must have been on a crash diet as there was very little of it. The meat was shredded to the smallest pieces and fried crisp as in rock hard . The ribs were the same rock hard. The knife was able to stay standing in them I called Rooster to voice my complaint but was told they had sold several ducks that night and had had no complaints but he would give me a discount on the ribs next time I said I would bring the food back and was told there was no point. In the mean time my husband had feed the duck to the cat. At least we had the eagerly anticipated special rice I love the egg topping both the noodles and rice but. It was awful the rice a lump of sticky mush more beansprouts than anything else I saw no point in making a 2nd call We will not return

I have been using the Rooster for over 40 years. My dad first used it when it first opened and I have seen it change over the years but they always supply a lovely tasty meal. One of Worcester’s institutes that I will carry on using.

We have tried probably 95% of all chinese takeaways in Worcester. (Obviously to try to please my better half). We have gone back to Roosters for as long as I can remember now, and never bother looking anywhere else. I love the bigger noodles in the chow mein dishes. The food is always hot, fresh and good quality ingredients. Even when they're busy I don't think I've ever waited more than 10-15 mins for the order to be completed. Staff are very friendly too and always acknowledge you. All round a winner.
