A wide range of vegan dishes that are a bit out of the ordinary. I ate here alone as I was in the area for work and they made me feel very welcome. Will definitely come back!
The vegan menu here at The Old Rec is amazing, a real treat. I've been a few times lately and it's always difficult to choose what to order. I keep finding excuses to visit and escape from various friends. My only complaint is that the puddings on the menu were floating or similar and after all that lovely food in front of it there has never been room! I would like something lighter as an option. Highly recommended.

This is one of my favorite spots in Worcester for both drinks and food. Be sure to make a reservation for dinner on weekend evenings, as it tends to get very busy. The bar is well-stocked with a variety of draft beers and ciders, as well as bottles from craft breweries. They also have a fantastic selection of gin and rum, and there's a cocktail bar upstairs. The food is locally sourced, freshly made, and the portion sizes are generous. We recently celebrated my parents' wedding anniversary here and enjoyed a wonderful meal. We all ordered steaks, and they were cooked to perfection. On another occasion, we visited on a sunny weekend afternoon for drinks and shared a meat lovers board, which was phenomenal—especially the black pudding sourdough! Absolutely amazing.
