However, the order was later d... read more I ordered my food through just eat and initially, the estimated delivery time was just over an hour, which is already quite long. However, the order was later delayed by an additional hour before finally being cancelled. There was no response or update from the restaurant, and the phone line was constantly busy. The service was terrible and I would never use this restaurant again. I recommend avoiding it at all costs.

This place and the Crispy Cod are my two local chippies and they have always played second fiddle to the Crispy Cod and probably only manage to survive because the owner of the Crispy Cod is such a horrible bloke that some people put manners and behaviour to others above the fact that he does the better food. In the old days it was not such a bad second choice. The old fella that ran the place new what he was doing when it came to fish even though the chips were never actually above OK the fish could always be rellied on to be large but tender and juicy. When he sold up the young guys that took over was useless and when they went the new guy seemed keen and was friendly enough he never mastered how to actually cook the fish and chips. I stuck it out though because it was within walking distance but recently I have had one soggy batch of chips after another and one severely overcooked fish. The last fish actually got binned as it was like chewing a dogs chewy chewy toy. What has finished it for me today was the fact that at seven o'clock in the evening they have got nothing cooked or ready. I expect to wait when they are busy or after a peak period but to have nothing to hand at this time of day is pathetic. and the last straw. I walked out the shop and won't be back until they have sold up due to lack of business which will not be long the way they are going.
