I recently had some delicious crucible cheese pizza with oregano, and it was the best pizza I've had in a long time. I truly enjoyed every bite, which is something I haven’t done in a while. I’m giving an honest review—this pizza is phenomenal. I would even give it higher marks than any Barstool review, as I find the reviewer to be overly critical and a bit of a jerk. What Sarah Arnold doesn't like about Worcester's Best Pizza:
The best pizza I've ever had, but they're never on time. It's always ready about 20 minutes later than the quoted time, which is usually an hour. They should just be honest about it. My pizza was finally ready 20 minutes after the estimated time, but then I had to wait another 10 minutes for the sides while the pizza got cold. This happens every single time. View all feedback.
I was really excited to try this pizza based on other reviews. After doing a bit of research, I learned that the owner is a hardworking and dedicated individual—he was actually making pizzas when I visited around 8:00 PM on a Saturday night. The pizza is advertised as New York style, so I had high expectations. I was hoping for a sweet sauce, a nice blend of toppings, and a slightly airy crust, but unfortunately, none of that was present. The pizza was heavily seasoned with oregano, which didn’t quite appeal to me, and it had a significant flop. Overall, it wasn't bad, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as others seemed to. If I could give three and a half stars, I would, but I'll round up to four because of the owner's dedication and hard work. Good pizza can be hard to find in New England, and I appreciate the commitment from both the owner and the staff, especially since they seemed busy and there was almost a two-hour wait.
I had been looking forward to visiting Franky ever since I saw the review by Dave Portnoy. I promised myself that the next time I was in Worcester, I would definitely stop by. It did not disappoint! I ordered a medium pizza with light cheese, and it was expertly made. It was absolutely perfect—no flop at all. I could really taste the quality of the ingredients. I will definitely be making another visit in the future. It was delicious!

It's part of his routine to be harsh and dismiss pizzas for no good reason. However, the pizza I had was genuinely impressive.
This place truly lives up to its name—it's simply the best! The owner is fantastic, and the products are made with undeniable love and care. If you love sauces, this is a dream come true. Grandma's is definitely worth a visit. You can't go wrong; just choose your favorite, and you won't be disappointed! Keep in mind, they are very popular on Friday and Saturday nights. While some people complain about the wait times, you can easily avoid this by placing your order at least 90 minutes in advance or by coming in early before the rush. A minute of planning can save you from the hassle!
