It's good food if you just don't know what to eat. We like to come with our children because the employees are amazing and interactive with them as well as attentive. They do not float and they are always on their game. View all feedback.
What 1Ashley G (5 1 year ago on Google dislikes about Empire Buffet:
We showed up at 3:25 for a late lunch, and we saw that the outside restaurant sign said dinner was at 3:45. When we got the check, we noticed we had been charged full dinner price, even though we didn't eat any of the dinner items, and we were early enough to have the lunch price. Our waitress insisted dinner started at 3:30, which even still is after we were eating. She also brought over multiple dinner receipts for... View all feedback.

So the outside of the building is a little old/cheap looking. But giving it the benefit of the doubt is worth it. Inside is not modern or super updated but it’s nice environment. Very busy at lunch time and with good reason, the food is all very well presented, very fresh and constantly checked on and refilled. Waiters are always Making sure tongs are clean and where they Should be. The workers are all super nice. The food just had such good flavor and variety. Absolutely will drive the 30 miles to come here again. Also, I would just like to add the cost was only $45 for 3 people with sodas on a Sunday. That’s a deal nowadays. Parking: A little packed/tight
Affordable Chinese buffet. My fiancee's childhood place. The food was good. A small homey vibe. Will be back.
Our first visit. Because of the negative reviews I was leary and decided to walk in with a positive attitude smiling and polite. We we're greeted right away seated and drink order was taken. We arrived for a late lunch I was surprised at how fully stocked all the service trays were full with food. Everything was piping hot. Everything was clean. Everything looked so good it was hard decision for my first plate. The food was full of flavor. And mixed well with other items on my plate. No complaints there. Desserts are typical Chinese buffet Desserts. Light and just sweet enough. The fruit was fresh and flavorful as well. The ice cream freezer had the biggest selection I've seen at Chinese buffet 8 flavors. That area was noticeably very clean as well. We were several bites into our meal and waitstaff checked in on us. Offering refills before needed. Our plates were cleared immediately. We saw four servers three of them checked on us. All three polite and the forth that did not check on us was smiling and polite as well. None of us went back for a second plate. We all ate our fill off one plate. For four over 12 our cost with tip was 17.62 a person. It was an enjoyable meal and dining experience and we will return. I guess don't go in if you can't tip the 15% you would tip somewhere else. If you see the negative reviews do not go in expecting bad service but inviting to good service. It's worth it especially if you bring your appetite. Kid-friendliness: They also acknowledge the children and even gave extra fortune cookies after the saw the boys enjoying reading them out loud to eachother
Arrived during lunch with only the lunch food out. When we were leaving we were charged for dinner but had none of the dinner food.

Went there twice with my husband, food is not bad. It’s awkward sitting in a room with all the waitresses staring at you without blinking once. 1st time waitress brought the bill and waited there to ask for tip, 2nd time she never check on us but waited till we went to the front to cash out to follow us and stand by saying “thank you thank you” till my husband tipped her. Will never go back and do not recommend.
This place has a nice atmosphere. Today me and my family went and we had a good time until staff were sneaking around and at the end we paid and she stood there looking at my dad 's cash. She counted slowly in front of us and still stood there staring I asked if she was okay and she said that 's it? No more? More, more!! Holding out her hand. But we were all confused because we gave her a 10 dollar tip. I swear a whole minute passed in silence WITH HER HAND OUT until we just got up and left. We are a Hispanic 5 person family and I know she tried to confuse us on purpose.
Its ok, they have a lot of options on top of the traditional Chinese food options such as chicken nuggets, pizza, and mac n cheese, great for kids. Although the mac n cheese had sauce that was extremely thin, i put it on my plate and the cheese all ended up on the other half of the plate soaking my other food. Overall its good for the price, 2 adults for 29$ and my 4 year old i think was like 5 or 6$. The hostesses and waitresses are friendly and come check on your table pretty often to clear plates and refill drinks.
The Foods pretty good, nothing to brag about but its probably the best buffet ive been to since the pandemic since most of them closed down. They have a great variety. I was happy to see that they have the shrimp I like and The workers seem nice. I would come back.
Absolutely fantastic! Love the place every single time I've gone in I've asked for a special order and they make it up for me and they don't have to they do it after hours for when they have that stuff and they still make me happy they're very very nice people and I have not seen anything dirty about the place and that I really like because I checked have a great day enjoy Empire Buffet

Empire Buffet is a good place to go when you have a tight budget and you’re really hungry. The prices are better than many others and the variety is good. This is the only chinese restaurant that I’ve been to that has baked full size chicken legs! A favorite with the young crowd. The lunch menu includes chow mein. Something that is missing in a lot of other restaurants, which is baffling. They have a large variety of beef and chicken dishes to choose from. A self serve ice cream chest with about of 6 – 8 tubs. I don’t eat sushi, but my husband said it’s very good. I would recommend Empire Buffet to anyone that is looking for a quick chinese fix.

Absolutely some of the best Chinese foods I had in a very long time. If there were 5 stars, they would have given me the right order. I'll be back.
Food was pretty good for a buffet. Nothing really local for me so I tried different places. This is one of the first to come back to. Large ice selection. A little outside, but inside clean.
Chinese buffet in one of my favorite dinners and I have been to all of them in the region. We've been going to Empire Buffet for over 20 years because they are one of the BEST. The last time I went, a couple years ago, the food wasn't great it was during the Covid shutdowns. But last night it was back to being EXCELLENT. A fabulous choice of hot, fresh food and better than average service. I'm so glad Empire Buffet is back from the Covid shutdowns and better than ever!
Great selection of good price and the food was hot unlike many other buffets. No complaints large meal
