Bill & Toni's At The Frisco Hotel

As we arrived at this hotel on a mid-week evening, it appeared to be a bit quiet. However, don't let that deter you, as the upstairs dining area is quite pleasant with a charming balcony at the front. We ordered burgers, chicken, and wedges, and all of the dishes were excellent.

Enjoyed a steak & red wine. Didn't fancy chips so Chef offered roast potatoes basted in duck fat. Delicious!!

Wanted a steak...but didn't want to pay BIG $$. This hotel has STEAK for $18 - great value. My partner had the steak sandwich and it too was flavourism and only $17. Drinks are reasonably priced. Locals love it as it got pretty busy soon after we arrived. If in the area please try.

Went down for lunch with some friends. Ordered from kids menu. Chicken ribs and salad. Really nice. Perfect size. $8. Couldn't fault it. One mate had vegetarian pasta. Mushrooms and onions in a creamy sauce. Very happy. Last meal not so good. Kids cheeseburger. Raw inside. Sent back twice. They were very obliging, but my mate was over it all by then. Got a full refund, no hassle. Would recommend ordering well done if you like your meat cooked through. Good prices, nice view. Old school Aussie pub.

The decor in the place gave me the impression of it being an old sailors pub, though due to its proximity to the naval base I suspect it is still quite popular with the local military (the pictures of warships on the wall sort of gave that away). I don't mind this place, though it certainly isn't one of my favourites. The first time I visited this pub I managed to squeeze in for a drink just before it closed. The staff were pretty freindly and they do have decent prices on their menu. Okay, it may not be one of my favourites, but it is a nice pub nonetheless.
