My partner and I are the only vegans and sometimes find it difficult to find a place that catered for a family meal, but Captain Jack's served meat and large vegan choices all wonderfully left everyone satisfied. The chef would personally come and tell us what we could have or what he could make for us, even offering to make us a whole new vegan dessert from scratch. He clearly took great pride in his cooking and would come and check on all customers to make sure they were happy. Not to mention the waitress Maz well she was more than a waitress she was so lovely and reminded us every time we walked in and what our food preferences were. She and the chef really went above and beyond and made the whole experience what it was. We first found this place on a Sunday and they served a vegan nut roast! Then I had another day of gluten free bread, olives and humble for the starter and an amazing falafel salad and my partner had a veggie diet, all of which were huge portions and so delicious. It was such a nice and easy place for all of us to eat and we will probably go again. I honestly have no complaints and this place really made our holiday.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. This hidden gem in the heart of Woolacombe surpasses even critically acclaimed restaurants we've visited. The food is consistently fantastic, thanks to the talented chef. They even welcome dogs, making it a great spot for dog walkers. The staff is very friendly, so be sure to give it a try!

I would definitely recommend this place!
