Chop Suey Hut - Woodstock

What a fantastic restaurant! First off, the service was outstanding. My mother-in-law follows a gluten-free and vegan diet, which can often be challenging, but there were plenty of options available. They were also accommodating in making substitutions to ensure other dishes could be made gluten-free or vegan as well. Our server was incredibly helpful with our choices and offered excellent recommendations. The food was incredible! I usually don't enjoy Chinese cuisine, but the quality here was exceptional and well-executed, all while maintaining reasonable prices. I honestly haven't been this impressed by a restaurant in quite a while. I will definitely be returning!

Everyone loves Chinese food, but it's often difficult to find a place that offers a Food Network-worthy experience. This restaurant exceeds anything I've ever had in my life. I ordered the pineapple fried rice, and the colors and flavors were incredible. I also tried the egg drop soup, wonton soup, egg rolls, and pineapple gai pan. All the vegetables were perfectly cooked, maintaining a fresh crunch, and the shrimp was actual shrimp—not those tiny, nail-sized ones! The egg rolls were delightfully fresh, not over-fried to a crisp; they were nice and soft, yet flaky, bursting with flavor, unlike the typical airy egg rolls from other places. The wonton soup had whole piece noodles, and the egg soup was wonderfully balanced. This is a place where you can confidently order anything, as you can tell that each dish is made with pride for our community. I would give it an 11 out of 10 and highly recommend it to anyone—the trip is definitely worth it!

I visited this restaurant for the first time based on a recommendation. My wife enjoyed a Miami Vice cocktail, while I opted for a Zombie. We started with deep-fried potstickers and egg rolls, both of which were absolutely amazing—definitely delicious! For my main dish, I ordered the vegetable egg foo young, which came with two patties and white rice. My wife chose a small beef sub gum, also served with white rice. Both meals were incredible, bursting with flavor. Although we didn't have reservations and had to wait about 25 minutes, it was well worth it. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions. We're already planning to come back with friends!

Best in class American style Chinese food. Get the egg rolls (they use peanut butter) and the crab Rangoon (which actually tastes like crab, not just cream cheese). It's hard to recommend particular entrees because everything I've had is the bestversion of that dish. (For the record, I'm middle aged and from Chicago, so I've eaten some of the best) Then we have thetropical drinks. Many are available alcohol free. Which is good, because everyone needs to get in on this. Again, everysingle one is the best version I've ever had. We avoided going here for years because the name is not great, and chop suey isas authentically Chinese as pizza. But that is the only thing I would ever dream of changing here. And at this point they havebeen using that name for generations, so they should keep it.
