This restaurant focuses on serving lagers and ales, but also offers other beers on tap or by the bottle. It is a great spot for a leisurely day of drinking, with a dedicated food truck serving delicious Mexican cuisine. There is plenty of space to spread out, with picnic tables located near the river. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, making it an ideal place to bring a dog for some extra space away from othe... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Zillicoah Beer Company:
decent beer and outdoor environment. However, the permanent food truck is different. I had to literally ask for my money back three times after I paid for an article that they had expired at the time of my order. Actually, the worst quesadilla I've had for a long time. the deception was just in order. drink them here, but eat them somewhere else in the city. and the food trucks were not very friendly. I checked out Zillicoah again on this most recent trip to Asheville and had a much better experience. My friends and I grabbed two rounds (I chose an IPA) and the food truck. Taqueria Munoz is their resident food truck provider. I wasn't huge on the food truck but the beer was good. I also really like the outdoor space here since it's right by the river.
Zillacoah is a small brewery near Asheville's downtown. They have a great variety of light, refreshing beers and an expansive outdoor patio area by the river for seating. There's always a Mexican food truck here serving delicious street tacos. This is a fun stop on your way to or from downtown and another excellent addition to the Asheville brewing scene.
Zillicoah is quite an interesting brewing, serving some of the highest quality and unique beers you'll find in Asheville. They shy away from the overly popular NEIPA trends and serve many traditional and overlooked European beer styles. You'll find a range of beers from pilsners to Baltic porters to British milds here. This was once one of my favorite places to hang out with family and friends. I rarely ever frequent this place these days due to the new no-child policy, which really sucks. I'm sympathetic to the reasoning behind this though Zillicoah hasn't done the best job of communicating this but evidently, safety has been an issue with free-range parents leaving kids unattended and kids running onto the train tracks and toward the river. The posted rules' attempted to quell this issue but AVL parents gonna AVL parent, so what was once one of the more family-friendly breweries is now kid-free. Slow clap, Asheville.
Great beer, wein, ciders, atmosphere (directly on the French broad river) and eat. a lot and easy parking. dog-friendly. beautiful that they have chosen taqueria munoz as their permanent food truck. one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in asheville. large selection of beer brewed before location. Unfortunately, they had no dark beer, but the amber they had recommended was great. they also had plenty of drinks for non-beer people. will definitely go back!
