Woodburn Bowl

The main drawback of this venue lies in the lanes themselves. Call me traditional, but I have a deep appreciation for wooden lanes. Unfortunately, the condition of the lanes here hasn't been well-maintained. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this place to both beginners and experienced bowlers, as it challenges you to sharpen your skills. Due to the poor condition of the lanes, bowlers need to frequently make significant adjustments. I understand that replacing wooden lanes can be costly and that the alley has recently undergone a change in ownership, so I’m willing to give the new management a chance. If improvements are made to the lanes, I’ll gladly update my rating.

The staff member was very friendly, but the bowling lanes were a big disappointment. The pins weren't registering properly, leading to inaccurate scores. For instance, when we got a strike, it would often show 9 points, and then we would have two additional turns, ending up with a score of 0. In one frame, I achieved two strikes, but neither was counted, not even as a spare. Given this experience, we probably won't be returning, especially after discovering that the owner was standing right behind us the entire time we were there.

Under new management, employees were awesome help and we had a great 2hrs at the best around.

My family and I tried to make a reservation here. We called in on the morning of the day we planned to go and got a reservation at 5:30. We live about 30 minutes away so we left at 4:50. About 15 minutes into the drive there, we got a call from the alley telling us they have canceled our reservation due to leauge. Somebody at the place was clearly confused and put us down anyways even though there was leauge. Thank goodness they called us before we got any further. It's hard to bowl at these places anymore because they have leauge basically EVERY NIGHT. So, unless you join a league, good luck!
