Golden Lotus Chinese Cuisine

I recently tried Golden Lotus Chinese restaurant located at Hwy 27 and Langstaff in the Longos plaza. Unfortunately, it was my first and last time ordering from there. I decided to try the chicken fried rice and General Tso's combination. The meal was quite expensive at $10.95 and, to make matters worse, I got sick later that night.

My husband and I used to frequent this restaurant for years, and it was excellent at one point. However, the quality of their food has declined over time. The mixed vegetable lo mein now only contains shredded carrots as the vegetable. The sweet and sour pork lacks pineapple and green peppers, instead consisting of a clump of batter stuck together. Additionally, they significantly raised their prices, prompting us to find another Chinese restaurant to dine at.

Are you tired of cooking? Treat your family to delicious Chinese food from Golden Lotus. It's best to call ahead and pick up your order to avoid waiting, as they can get very busy at dinner time. I recently ordered the family dinner for four, which included egg rolls, chicken balls, chicken chow mein, beef with veggies and almonds, bbq chicken wings, and bbq pork fried rice. Everything was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. Plus, there is a 10% discount on pick-up orders over $25 (before tax, cash only). During lockdown, they are offering take-out only with no table service.

Fantastic food friendly staff great value for money would definitely return and would recommend the chicken satay to anyone its 1 of the nicest sauces ever

Have been coming to this restaurant for about three years now. Price is reasonable and a little bit more expensive than some other places in the area however the quality of the meat that use is much superior. Food is always fresh and the family Harantis restaurant are very nice people as well. Definitely recommend!
