Too bad we had no time for the desert!
Wonderful! A friendly attentive service begins for a culinary visit to Italy. Warm fresh baked bread is your first taste. The wine list has width and depth and all are very cheap. I passed for an old stand, Zuppa de Pesce. If they can make the court right, then we start a relationship. They did. Presentation beautiful, ingredients perfectly cooked. Four shells, mussels, scallops and shrimps with delicate Calamari rings. About Linguine. But the sauce you ask? Wonderful. Go!
This restaurant is fantastic... this is our third time here... we eat outside on the terrace... Elena, the waiter, is so friendly and gracious. Everything is fantastic: We shared a Caesar salad and the Capesante Mare Mio (Pan seared scallops served over a Primavera risotto, lobster sauce) is the most delicious dish we ever had... we both ordered it and brought some for lunch for a few days. Beyond delicious.
This resturant is a neighborhood to go, incredible service, fantastic drinks and the food is from the charts! This is our place! They have wonderful specialties, seafood is SPO good and their Italian fair and light and fresh! It's a hidden jewel, but once you go, you'll be back three times! One of the best restaurants in New Haven! Try it.
Our family went to Paolo Ristorante for the first time on Sunday night and were VERY impressed by the friendly caring atmosphere and delicious food. The service was spectacular and every dish was better than the next. The portions are very generous and prices very reasonable. This restaurant will, no doubt, become a very common destination for us even though we live 20 minutes away in Milford. I can't recommended it highly enough! Italian food at its best!
