Reviews - Hogshead Wolverhampton
Reviews summary
Renowned for its bottomless brunch, the restaurant has garnered praise for its vibrant atmosphere and attentive service. Many patrons praised the friendly staff, particularly during brunch events, highlighting their commitment to a pleasant dining experience. However, not all visitors have enjoyed their meals. Several reported inconsistencies in food quality, with undercooked dishes and inadequate portion sizes. Guest complaints also surfaced regarding indifferent bar staff and unsettling interactions with security personnel. While some guests cherish their visits, noting the diverse gluten-free options and overall enjoyable ambiance, others are unlikely to return, citing service and food issues that marred their experiences.

The service was great, very efficient and helpful, especially with a large order and when our food arrived. The menu had good options and the atmosphere was pleasant, even though the bar was less busy than we had anticipated. It definitely added to our special day. View all feedback.
What Charles Wilson dislikes about Hogshead Wolverhampton:
I had made a reservation but had to wait ten minutes at the bar. I was completely ignored by three bar staff members who seemed to only cater to regular customers. I will not be returning to this restaurant. The staff were very ignorant. View all feedback.

Popped in here on my own for a quick drink right after college to unwind, and it was exactly what I needed. Even though I was by myself, the atmosphere was brilliant—really welcoming, lively, and relaxed. The staff were fantastic too; incredibly friendly and served me with a smile, which makes all the difference.Stella on Draft Yum!
Good beer, good selection and friendly staff. Gets rammed just after the match finishes but it does quite down after half an hour or so

Bald short Security deserves his badge revoked, he was on a power trip laying his hands on females originally accidentally but wouldn't own up to his mistake and then resulted in an aggravated conversation ans him pushing a female and calling the police. Managed spoke to the group and he was no help at all shocking for how they think they can treat people. Police advised we complain to sia regarding the door man and we have done we have also messaged the hogshead for the manager to contact but no response! If you want to.me man handled by power hungry Security this is the place for you but I would highly avoid. Credit due to the other Security gentleman who apologies straight away and even offered an ice pack for the accidental injury. Mr bold short door man you clearly have anger issues that you can't console and do not deserve to work within a busy environment discusting
Another quality day at the hogs. I'm used to it being super busy on match day, but given it was Albion away it was like it from 8am when I got back at 3 it was still like it. But the team kept going and going making sure drinks were flowing to celebrating fans. Thanks all in hogs we trust
I recently visited this restaurant for the first time in years to try their lunch menu. The prices for food and drink start at £6. I ordered the Burrito bowl, while my friends ordered the Quorn buttermilk style filet burger and Barbie chick pizza. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my food. The Burrito bowl sounded good on the menu, but what I received was a tortilla bowl with sauce, a little rice, no meat, and salsa. I chose the slow cooked bbq beef, but was disappointed to find only tiny, thin strands of barely visible meat mixed in. I also ordered fries on the side (for an extra cost) and a coke, bringing my total to £12.25. My friends' burger and pizza meals came to £12 in total, which I found confusing. One friend enjoyed her burger and would order it again, while the other friend found her pizza undercooked for her taste. When we attempted to order dessert, we were disappointed to find that there were only three options on the menu, all of which were ice cream based. Overall, I personally do not plan on returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

I have dined at this restaurant multiple times and always gave it a good rating, but last night was the final straw. We had made a reservation for a table for three people, but upon arrival, we found our table dirty with food crumbs all over it, despite having a reserved sign. It was busy, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked a staff member to clean the table so we could order. After 15 minutes and no response, we asked again, but still no one came. We decided to leave without eating. This experience was absolutely unacceptable. The quality of service has declined since the previous managers and staff left. We will not be returning as loyal customers.
We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. We enjoyed plenty of drinks and the food was delicious. The service was excellent and there were many menu choices to choose from. Toby, our host, was fantastic.
Bottomless brunch was fantastic! Had the best time! Brendan was a super lovely, such a great host! Great drinks and food, a great way to celebrate our friends birthday
The bottomless brunch was fantastic, thanks to our server Brendon who was excellent at keeping our drinks topped up. I would definitely recommend it to others.
So much better than previous visit! Great selection of beer, every sport on across the huge amounts of TV’s. Had a burger, wings, Mac and cheese and it was beautiful! I had been before and wasn’t sure but tonight was really worth the visit! The chef cinque, and other staff Victoria and Sam were brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us. We will 100% be back for live sport, drink, food and the pub quiz!

It's fantastic to have a pub located close to the university that offers a wide variety of gluten-free options on their menu. The salads are delicious and include a variety of vegetables. The staff is very friendly and...
Although I'm not typically a fan of pubs, I really enjoy the Hogs Head. I still remember the grand opening in the late 90s when our group was invited. I was so excited that I tripped over myself rushing in.

We (4 of us) went on a Thursday teetime before we see a show in the grand theatre. almost everything we chose in the menu was not available, so disappointing!
