It has been quite some time since we last visited Cosmo, but we were thoroughly impressed. The restaurant offers a wide variety of food choices, the staff is friendly and efficient, and we appreciated the convenience of paying upfront before enjoying our meal. The only drawback was the unexpected service charge added to our bill. We were not informed about this charge at the time of booking, nor were there any signs indicating its presence. We requested for the charge to be removed as we had already paid a significant amount for our meals. Moving forward, it would be helpful for the restaurant to clearly communicate any additional charges or consider removing them altogether.

My friends and I decided to go for lunch at this restaurant, which was only £4 cheaper than dinner. However, we found that the lunch menu was much more limited. There were only three cakes available, none of which tasted good. Additionally, the noodles and garlic bread we ordered were served cold. To top it off, the server automatically added a tip to the bill without asking, which we found amusing. Overall, we felt that the quality of the restaurant had declined since before the Covid-19 pandemic.

The food at this restaurant is excellent, and the staff are always cleaning and maintaining a clean environment. The organization of the restaurant is impressive, but we were quite offended when the staff informed us it was time to pay while we were still eating.

After reading the negative speculation regarding one of our favourite restaurants, Cosmo Wolverhampton I have visited the restaurant and had lunch there today... Again a very enjoyable one. I also made a point of finding out what was behind the recent comments on social media. Speaking to a member of staff I have managed to find out the following. Over past week, Cosmo received a visit from two Environmental Health Officers following reports of guests becoming ill after dining at the restaurant. Upon thorough examination and collaboration with the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), it was determined that the cause of the reported illness was NOT due to any food safety violations or contamination within the restaurant. The Environmental Health Officers' investigation revealed that the illness WAS caused by NORO VIRUS , a common and highly contagious virus that can spread rapidly in public spaces, often transmitted through person-to-person contact. Although norovirus is primarily known as a winter bug, it is currently being spread within the Wolverhampton Community including my friend and his family. They were contacted by the EHO and asked like everyone affected to provide samples for testing and to pinpoint the cause of the outbreak. Now that the cause of the illnesses has been determined I hope that this gives us all the reassurance and confidence to visit Cosmo again soon. Cosmo has been part of Wednesfield for many years and all my children’s birthdays have at some point been celebrated here. So naturally I was upset to read the posts that have been circulating on social media and the accusations being made and particularly how it affects the business. I hope all those effected are better now and things can return to normal.

Dined 8th June at 6pm. The service was a bit slow, took a while for our drinks to come but the food left me in A&E and very nearly admitted, I came down with severe food poisoning. I was violently ill for days after, looks like I was not alone in my experience either. Truly shocking.
