The fish and chips were overcooked and dry, priced at £9.50. It was horrible. The owner should ensure that their standards do not deteriorate.

I've used and really liked this chippy for years. It used to be the best chippy around, however I recently contracted food poisoning off their Southern fried chicken. I ordered 2 pieces with chips, I didn't enjoy the chicken so gave most of one piece to the dog. An hour or two later the dog was sick. During the night both myself and the dog had the runs. I had to take two days off work. A few weeks ago, a friend told me a similar story, about how it had made him ill. He warned me to avoid and said it's gone downhill. I wished I'd listened to my friend and avoided. It's a real shame because the food used to be brilliant and the staff are usually great too.

We visited this restaurant today and to be honest, I was expecting just another average chippy. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was actually the best chippy I've had in a long time. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the food was excellent. They even served the chips in the old school style with a hole in the bag, which brought back nostalgic memories. I will definitely be returning soon. Overall, I give the food a 5-star rating.
