Review of the breakfast offering on Mother 's Day Sunday. Two stars for the consistently friendly staff and the very good coffee – but that was about all the positive aspects. We had breakfast here several times before the coronavirus and were absolutely disappointed this time. Contrary to the current information on the website, there was no fresh orange juice (previously self-squeezable), no salmon (or any other fish), the roasted vegetables consisted exclusively of mushrooms, and a glass of Prosecco was only brought to us after we asked twice. When paying, we were asked to pay €25 for this breakfast instead of €22. After referring to the website, we were charged the old price. Although there were obviously many guests here for Mother 's Day, nothing special was set up; only a napkin and cutlery were laid out somewhat carelessly on the tables. Overall, a disappointing visit; we won 't be back for a while; I 've mentally dismissed the idea of a large birthday breakfast. What a shame.
We had breakfast at VEN today and had the buffet. Generally speaking, it was okay. The service staff were friendly but unfortunately not entirely attentive. But that wasn't a problem because everyone learns as they go. The buffet was reduced by 2/3, which we weren't told about when we made the reservation. The first thing that wasn't great, but we understood that. The service staff asked us if we wanted Prosecco or orange juice. Since it's part of the regular buffet and it was a birthday breakfast, sure, why not!? We ordered Prosecco (which is also advertised on the website), so we made the best of it. It was coming to an end and we wanted to pay. Then the impossible happened at the checkout. We had to pay €81 for three people because Prosecco is now charged extra. But they don't even point this out. They asked us matter-of-factly if we wanted Prosecco, just like they always do. Because it wasn't my first time there. The buffet costs €20 per person because it's on sale. Okay, so the total is €22, as I said. With a glass of Prosecco and the buffet. So we paid €27 for a meager breakfast with a glass of sparkling wine. Instead of €22 and a lavish breakfast with Prosecco. Find the mistake!!! We wanted to clarify the matter because, frankly, I find it absolutely outrageous. Yes, it was apparently discussed with the boss, who wouldn't listen and said this is how it's going to be billed from now on. I would have liked to speak to him personally, but unfortunately that's not possible. It's a shame, but I think this way, as well as this kind of business model that rips people off, they won't retain customers. But maybe they don't need it. I asked for a concession, but they refused. So for this outrageous price/performance ratio, there's only one thing to say: NO THANKS.
