Short waiting times, fast service and great food. All in all, highly recommended.
A very nice and fun evening. The food was very good. Even though the portions seemed small, we were full after just two rounds.
The four of us met at this restaurant today. Even from the outside, there was a slightly apocalyptic atmosphere: constantly flickering lights at the bar, empty menu display cases in the entrance area, and generally quite a gloomy ambiance. We were allowed to choose our own seats, as the restaurant was rather quiet. We opted for a spot close to the kitchen so we could observe the activity. After a brief introduction to the ordering system via tablet, we placed our drink order and browsed the available dishes on the tablet before making our selections. For my first order, I chose soup and a portion of sushi. Both arrived relatively quickly. The soup was okay, the sushi rather mediocre. The fish on my nigiri was already partially dried out around the edges. A small highlight was the soy sauce, which was in the usual small bottles on the table. After two other people at our table had also helped themselves to the soy sauce, we noticed that it seemed to be a bit more lively than usual – or perhaps the opposite. Dead flies washed onto our plates along with the sauce. After unscrewing the lid, we discovered the rest of the fly family. Besides the flies, there was also a slimy, yellowish-white mucus. We pointed this out to the server, who simply brought us a bottle from another table. While it was flies-free, it was still covered in the slimy stuff on the lid – so the rest of the evening was soy sauce-free. Overall, we would have expected a much more professional approach, especially regarding hygiene. We last visited Miyabi seven years ago – back then, the experience was in a completely different league. Unfortunately, it 's not like this anymore. What a shame.
This was my second visit to this restaurant. My first visit, back when it was at its old location, was much more satisfying – both the quality and the atmosphere were better. The ambiance is a bit dark, but generally acceptable. The cold white light from the kitchen is somewhat distracting. The furniture is starting to look a bit worn and could use a refresh. The entrance door doesn't close properly, and the serving robot was a bit dirty. The service was friendly and attentive, which I'd like to emphasize. The all-you-can-eat selection was good, and the wait times were pleasantly short. However, there were a few things that detracted from my experience. I noticed two things wrong with the soy sauce. Opened soy sauce should normally be refrigerated. Overall: Good selection and friendly service, but unfortunately a few shortcomings – in its current state, I can't recommend it.
After our first visit, we were absolutely thrilled, both with the food and the concept. This visit was the complete opposite. When we entered the restaurant, it was freezing cold. There were paper towels on the toilet floor. The restaurant floor was greasy and crumbly. The dishes didn 't look like they did on the menu, even though the server had explicitly stated they did. People were talking loudly on their phones. The atmosphere mirrored the temperature in the dining area: chilly. There was a long hair in the sushi. The plate that arrived with a new portion wasn 't entirely clean either. The sushi was coated in green pearls, but there were red ones on the plate. Where did they come from? No one knows. The robot 's trays were dirty, and the display was very greasy. You have to use the display to mark the serving cycle as finished. The tablet wasn 't really clean either. After the visit, we experienced persistent, unpleasant burping. All in all, we won 't be coming back.
