Woodley Tandoori - Wokingham

The food was delicious and not too oily. It arrived very hot and was quickly served. I started with the onion bhaji, which was the best I've ever had.

The service was lacking, and the overall experience was disappointing. The food was bland and unappetizing. We were not greeted upon arrival, and it took a long time for our food to be served.

This restaurant appears to have been established on a tight budget and it shows. The tables are second-hand and scratched, the furniture is mismatched, and there is a lack of ambiance. We only stayed because we were short on time and needed to eat. The food was okay, with generous portions, but they did not have the drinks we requested - orange juice and sparkling water - and had to go buy them at a nearby supermarket. The owners were pleasant and courteous, but unless they improve the restaurant's appearance, make it more inviting, and stock basic drinks, I don't see this venture succeeding. Based on this, I have rated the service as poor.

My partner ordered a king prawn nawabi from the menu for takeaway. The prawns were tough, chewy and after a few mouthfuls he determined they'd gone off. My chicken pasanda was OK but pretty bland and nothing special. I won't be ordering again.

Tried this new takeaway and portions for 4 person meal are good. Not sure about the Bhaji as they were not crispy and quite red in colour. The food was tasty but the Lamb Bhuna had a texture more akin to beef. Don't think we will go again.
