The Wheelwrights Arms - Wokingham
Menu
Here you will find the menu of The Wheelwrights Arms in Wokingham. At the moment, there are 49 meals and drinks on the list.
The country pub offers good food, especially the Chicken Roast, but some items are overpriced. Vegan options are lacking variety. Friendly staff, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere make for a pleasant experience. Roast dinners are outstanding, with minor room for improvement noted. The restaurant is dog-friendly but lacks vegetarian options. Service can be hit or miss, but the delicious food makes up for it. Overall, a lovely place to relax and enjoy a meal.

This pub is by far the best in the area. The food is fresh, and the menu is outstanding. They offer a great selection of beers, lagers, and apple wines. There are plenty of tables available, but it's a good idea to make a reservation. The staff is very welcoming as well. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about The Wheelwrights Arms:
3 is low but 4 is to high. If you consider my pie and chips with fabulous pints of ale alone... Then a 4* was nailed on. My partner ordered a nice Sirloin medium rare... It was well done when it arrived. It was the last steak left and the menu only has limited choices... so that was that. It spoiled the score but that was £22 for a steak so it really should have been delivered to requirement. Service throughout was good and attentive. Ambience nice. If you want tasty pub classics this is a lovely place. Nice decor lovely bar. Totally recommended.
Food is excellent, decent portions, service is friendly and responsive, no delays, overall a lovely experience for Sunday lunch!
Great place to go. Our waiter was very attentive and personable and made our evening so enjoyable. Food was really lovely and we enjoyed the live music. Great night.
This review is for any vegan out there/anyone seeking out vegan options. This is a very welcoming and warm pub and we had a very comfortable visit, thank you. Two of us ordered the vegan main dish of miso infused aubergine steak with chips. The chips were good and the salad was very tasty. The aubergine was okay, it was half a baked aubergine marinated in miso. We had a starter (soup of the day) but had to order more chips after finishing our plates because it simply wasn't filling enough for us. Our friend ordered the burger which she said was good. The current menu on Google is out of date, we were really looking forward to the vegan moussaka and vegan pizza options which are no longer/not currently on offer. We love visiting pubs, but unfortunately as vegans it seems very difficult to be catered for in a way that is satisfying and enjoyable these days. This said, we appreciate the time that vegan food takes to be prepared and the challenge involved in turning over a decent profit. Thank you to those running the pub as it was overall a lovely experience, lovely landlord and staff.
Absolutely amazing! Daryl and Katie have done an incredible job elevating the pub to their high standards, just as they did with their previous establishment.
