At this pub, experiences vary widely. While some enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and a solid selection of real ales, others have encountered significant service lapses and cleanliness issues. Diners appreciate the homemade burgers and the accommodating nature of the staff, especially for families, as well as the outdoor beer garden, perfect for watching sports. However, complaints about inattentive service, dirty surroundings, and poor-quality beverages are common. Whether for a casual pint or a family outing, patrons recommend keeping expectations in check while enjoying the lively environment. Overall, it’s a mixed bag worth considering before visiting.

Was Peter Clark at Duke Of Wellington a mag?
Nice little pub, friendly staff, might feel like a clicky local type if you don't say hello to random people. I do. Bar staff are both all smiles with good looks. Garden is massive. Dog friendly too which is mark of a proper pub. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 View all feedback.
What Rajesh N dislikes about Duke Of Wellington:
Service lacking to the point of being inattentive. Dirty cutlery re-used from starter to main course. Dirty table mats, table, and surroundings. Possible blood stains on the floor of the men's toilet. Never again. View all feedback.
I met up with a friend for dinner at this restaurant, knowing that they now offer food from the Thai Elephant. The service was excellent, with attentive staff, and the food was delicious. The salt and pepper squid was fantastic, as were the Thai fishcakes.
We stopped by for a drink between Christmas and New Year's. The bar staff greeted us warmly. The interior setting was lovely and there was a decently sized beer garden. The facilities were nice and clean. They had a good selection of beer and wine to choose from.
The service was slow, the staff was not friendly, and the table we were seated at was too small for our group. Overall, a negative experience - I would not recommend this restaurant in the future.
Always enjoyable to pay a visit. An unpretentious ’locals’ pub and our most favourite one in Twyford. Can sometimes get overly busy and hard to find a seat, particularly when locals use seats as coat and bag racks, but overall being busy is a good sign! Always look forward to visiting.
