excellent eating at a decent price. could have done with a little more. I said I ate a bit of my better half when she couldn't finish her. good service (with a smile.) pub was clean, neat and well decorated. would not hesitate to recommend. View all feedback.
What janewS2165EJ doesn't like about The Wheatsheaf:
On 1st November we received a confirmed booking for Christmas lunch for x 5 people, secured with a £50.00 deposit. 2 weeks later we get an email to say this was a technical error as in reality they are fully booked and cannot honour the booking. I phone to get the refund as requested, there is no apology and they cannot perform the refund either. I ask to speak to the manager and this is refused. Just awful. View all feedback.

A small jewel on the edge of the city. we were here for a few days while visiting some attractions in the opposite. the staff is amazing, the rooms clean and comfortable, eating was well cooked and presented (I recommend the waffeln for dessert when they have burst! . it is also a great value. what is not to like. a great thank you to the team that we are so good.
Personal very friendly..service excellent..food very good and good value for her money. the accommodation is fair. no big problems. parking is very tight, especially if the working vans stay overnight..always feared someone would jamme and delete my car. but I think I'm lucky.
I stayed here for 2 weeks when in woking the hotel is decent and the rooms are cheap and cheerful about £50 per night for single and £60 per night for double that includes a free breakfast bag (you can not cook breakfast with current kovid rules.) the rooms are equipped with a ventilator and care products. I ate in the pub most nights eating is ok standard powder food they 2 courses for £12 which is decent and they can order table over and app so better for social distancing. I recommend the Japanese huh for starter and the burger for pornstar.
Friendly staff, made to feel welcome. Lots of deals on the Ember Inns app... 20% off the main menu with the AA app. Food generally pub classics, done quickly but good for what it is. We go back often. I think the food is very good value for money if you use the set menu or get a discount off the main.
