Although I didn't try the food, it looked delicious as it came out of the kitchen.

This was the first time I've eaten in this Herbert Wells, which is actually a Wetherspoons pub. We went here with family. Great food (I had the classic cod chip... read more This was the first time I've eaten in this Herbert Wells, which is actually a Wetherspoons pub. We went here with family. Great food (I had the classic cod chips, accompanied by breaded scampi while my wife enjoyed her classic stuffed potato). Good pints,...and cosy typical pub atmosphere, where numerous workmen enjoyed ther meal and a pint.

It's hard to find fault with any Wetherspoons pub (although I have tried a few times) because you know what to expect and 99% of the time that's exactly what yo... read more It's hard to find fault with any Wetherspoons pub (although I have tried a few times) because you know what to expect and 99% of the time that's exactly what you get. I haven't tried the food here, as I don't usually eat at Wetherspoons, but the beer selection and quality were good and the staff were friendly. They handled a difficult situation well, removing an unruly customer and moving them outside in a professional manner. Perhaps the staff at the Wetherspoons in Eastbourne could learn a thing or two from them. Overall, everything was great and if I ever find myself in Woking again, I'll definitely be returning here. Good job to the staff at this pub.
