Description

**Discovering Culinary Delights or Disappointments: A Mixed Bag at Local Restaurant**

This Woking eatery delivers an uneven dining experience, with some patrons raving about the superb sushi and friendly service, while others express frustration over lackluster cuisine and unwelcoming staff. Highlights include fresh, delightful dishes like salmon and tuna sushi, alongside flavorful beef bulgogi that impresses many. However, criticisms emerge regarding disjointed service, poorly-executed dishes lacking authenticity, and extended wait times. Overall, it’s a restaurant where experiences vary widely, leaving diners eager for either a return visit or a prompt farewell. Ultimately, expectations for quality and service remain a prominent theme among those who venture here.

Soya Woking Overall We visited there last week during Easter Holiday. Not very busy when we arrived here so you don’t need to book the table if you want to have dinner in there. We order: Superior Platter Including:8 Pcs sashimi, 8 pcs nigiri, tobiko gunkan, 8 pcs tuna avocado rolls; Served with miso soup. And they gave us one extra miso soup for us which is very welcome and very friendly! The whole thing is very delicious and very filling. And the price is amazing and worth to pay. All sashimis are great and taste fresh. Kimchi pancake A little bit too dry and some of the pancakes are a bit burnt in another side. Korean Spicy Crispy Squid Spicy crispy Squid is my all time favourite!

Went there for New Year’s Eve. The food was probably the worst attempt at Japanese or Korean I have eaten in the UK. I tried the katsu yaki soba (which is not a real Japanese or Korean dish) and basically it was flavourless and felt like cheap take Away food. Tried the kimchi stew and it was drenched in spice and un drinkable. Service was pretty poor too. Will not go back again. Definitely not value for money. Feels like the owners have no idea what Japanese or Korean food is about.

Service was a little questionable dining in. Staff were a bit rude. One staff literally just stopped talking to us at one point mid order and went off somewhere. Same person also poured beer everywhere while serving and walked off. As for the food, the okonomiyaki wasn’t okonomiyaki No aonori or cabbage). Tasted nice though. Katsu curry was also the wrong kind of curry, but the katsu was nice and crispy. A bit disappointed sadly :

We ordered a takeaway and after 1.5 hours of waiting (during which the estimated delivery time had long been and gone! , we called to see where it was. They initial denied even taking the order but eventually admitted that they had the order, but hadn 't even started cooking it yet. They offered to start it right away . Just ridiculous. We won 't be eating here or ordering from here again. Service: Delivery
