Kayal in Byfleet presents a mixed bag of experiences, capturing the essence of Kerala cuisine amidst varying customer satisfaction. While some diners rave about the authentic South Indian dishes, like the exceptional fish curry and aapam, others express disappointment over the service and authenticity, particularly when dishes veer from true Kerala flavors. The atmosphere aims for a cozy vibe, but inconsistencies in food quality and service can detract from the overall enjoyment. Though some appreciate the vegan-friendly options and value lunch specials, others caution against rushing to recommend the restaurant due to subpar experiences. Overall, Kayal offers potential but needs refinement.

What Anonym dislikes about Kayal:
this is a really great place to taste authentic food from the south indiens. I had sea bass with marinated garnel and his best plate I've ever eaten. are also very good! the appams were the best I cost. service was excellent and no request was too much for the team at kayal. I am definitiw back and cannot recommend it enough. View all feedback.
The service and atmosphere at this restaurant were both fantastic. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure that our dining experience was enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a great dining experience.
This restaurant is not recommended if you want to have a peaceful night. It is definitely not your typical English curry place. The stale poppadoms were disappointing and I don't think I will come back. I will stick to Hawelli, which is great and located across the street. I wouldn't be surprised if the food preparation here is subpar. There seems to be a lot of mess and uncleanliness in the kitchen. The bartender also needs to be more relaxed. The way he looked at me made me feel uncomfortable, as if I was going to steal something instead of just getting a takeaway.
