What Marco Abbate doesn't like about Old Swan:
We went for a little relaxing holiday. We found a hotel without atmosphere and unfriendly. The room was missing toilet paper, bathrobe and other things. The pool had cold water and we couldn't stay in it. I booked a small luxurious holiday but in reality it was not to my liking. We went to the pub, the food was good but the service was terrible. The pool had cold water and we couldn't stay in it. I booked a small luxurious holiday but in reality it was not to my liking. We went to the pub, the food was good but the service was terrible. We certainly won't be back, too bad. Rooms: I had booked a large room and upon arrival they gave me a different room to the one I had booked, then I had to go to reception and they changed it for me. The room was missing toilet paper bathrobe and other things.
We traveled here all the way from Texas, USA as a base for our visit to the Cotswold sand we were not disappointed. The Old Swan is quite magical in its history and quaintness, yet still had the amenities necessary to make for a very enjoyable stay. The Pie Brew was fantastic with amazing traditional English food. We had dinner and breakfast there twice and loved all of it. The staff was extremely friendly and made this one amazing trip. We will be back, I just wish this place wasn’t 4700 miles away
Popped in for a quick bite on a Saturday for lunch. It was a bit expensive but beautifully maintained inside and out. A very old building with a lot of history, no doubt, but that is something you would never know unless you visited other locations around it, researched in advance or chatted to a local. The village itself is beautiful too, so overall, it is definitely worth a visit. The food is definitely worth the money paid Service: 4
