I had dinner here for the first time today on a Sunday, and I was really impressed. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and the food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions. It's refreshing to find a pub that serves homemade meals without relying on microwaves. The decor is beautiful, and the staff is friendly with impeccable service. I will definitely be coming back! smaller than before. had about half a dozen chips with our cake. not as good as last year. beautiful place but and comfortable for where we stayed. but there are better places close. View all feedback.
For a fast to en route from ulverston to sandbach and we were thrilled to find a real old-fashioned pub with a welcoming log fire. food was also a fab
I come here every year for a weekend away it’s rustic and homely, friendly staff and really good food.
My family and I spent 2 nights there while visiting the Lake District. Lovely old pub, with excellent food; dinners and breakfasts. My husband loved the Black Pudding and Haggis stack so much, that he had it both night 's Our daughter also had it the 2nd night. Our rooms were comfy too. Bonus was, I experienced proper snow for the first time. Staff are also great and very friendly.

Lovely locals, great food. We got there at 4 and ended up staying until closing time!
