Another great meal at Devon Doorway! Great food and service. Elliot and Eleanor were really attentive. The food was really well cooked and I was told the chef, Gibson, is excellent and a nice guy too!
What a great meal today, strangely today I had the vegan option. The celeriac steak, which whilst it was a delicious dish, it was less of a steak and more of a chunk I embellished it with a side of mac and cheese. Starters were the sticky chicken and the goats cheese. SWMBO had the linguine for main. I finished with a Sicilian lemon tart. It has been a good while since we were last here, but we have never had a bad meal here.
We had an amazing starter of chicken liver parfait, which we shared but regretted not getting one each because it was so delicious. The belly pork was difficult to cut and quite chewy, although tasty. It wasn't as melt-in-your-mouth as we had hoped, but the scallops that came with it were heavenly. The waiter kindly removed a round of drinks, costing nearly £12, to make up for our disappointment. Despite our mixed experience, we would recommend this restaurant and would be willing to give it another try if we are in the area again.
