I have been a very regular customer here for 10 years and have always been happy with the quality of Sandwich and got on great with the staff there. ..NOT this Sunday!!! Went here to buy a footlong ham and pepperoni to take away (a sandwich I must have purchased at least 30 times previously . I have always understood that this is not a standard sandwich and that it is basically the Italian BMT without the Salami and therefore I happily pay the BMT price of £5.50 although on occasions I have only been charged £4.90. When ordering on this occasion, the girl at the counter grumpily advised me you will have to pay extra for the pepperoni you know.. ....to which I replied yes that 's fine (assuming she meant as above . However when I received the sandwich and went to pay I was charged £6 40!!!.... I politely enquired how it could be this price and was told 'it 's £2 extra for the pepperoni...I did tell you !! I pointed out that she had not in fact told me that a few slices of pepperoni would cost 2 POUND EXTRA , and that this in fact made this the most expensive sandwich in the entire shop and the best part of a pound more than an equivalent sandwich (the BMT but WITHOUT the salami in I was basically told tough and that 's what I 'd ordered and that 's what I had to pay. I did so, and left, never to return!!
