You've gotta try the salt and pepper chicken from this place! Staff are friendly and efficient and work with you if there are multiple takeaways for you to get food from. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £1–10

Superb, compared to most. Not just the excellent fish and chips, but the authentic Chinese food too .. ... Very few chippies attain their standards.A gem of a place. JT.

Absolutely the WORST Chow Mein I have EVER tasted !! It contained what seemed like TASTELESS boiled chicken I beansprouts or mushrooms ... DREADFUL!!!!
Like to try the fish and chips, this time I was not really impressed, the peas were not mushy peas more like marrofat peas, the chips were small and a lot of bits, the fish batter seemed overcooked, there was a lot of different Chinese meals as well in the menu, but I decided
We#re very lucky to live really close to Ocean Wave but they certainly do the best chips in Wallasey and their fish is always freshly-cooked and excellent. Thanks so much guys and keep up the great work.
Small fish chips been craving this for months. Did not disappoint. Delicious. Lovely, friendly staff too.
We've been using this excellent takeaway for years, cannot fault the food, service is great, at busy times there can be a wait for delivery as with all takeaways. I can heartily recommend the Special Szechuan.

The best chipshop they ever find. the staff are so friendly and helpful and the salt n pfeffer chicken wings are to die. go there, go back in any case!
Fish chicken chinese ripening spring rolls and amazing fresh real chips. crispy won ton are huge, sui mai also great. Woman addicted to hot n sour suppe. rock their chips. ocean wave is simply the best chip store around a million miles I never had a bad meal or wrong order in 15 years. it's just not a competition. they will even make cuters dinge with like 5 or 6 dinges added and removed for vegans. this is not just another sweaty swirl chip. there is a reason why it is always excavated with customers and massive phone orders. portions are also huge.
Only a regular fish and chip shop operated by chinese, but their fish and chips are one of the best. the individual chip component is sufficient for 2 or even 3 .
My man and I used to go to the ocean wave before I finished and the fish and chips are excellent. as others have said, the fish are big, so we cut one into the half. with the great number of chips (I can not believe that the reviewer who said that the part of the chips was stingy! you serve both of us and we are pretty hearty eater! since the lockdown we used their delivery service that is fantastic. both young who bring the food are nice, friendly young and bring it to us to **** hot. a few times the fish was a bit dry, but I can honestly say that this is a rarity probably over 100 orders. Go on!
