Naturally, we needed to eat during our stay, so we were delighted to discover a Wetherspoons nearby. After checking in, we dropped off our bags in our room and enjoyed lunch and a drink at the pub. Although we dined elsewhere on the first night, we had breakfast at The Master Mariner twice during our stay. My curry was filling and delicious, while my wife enjoyed the steak night special. The service was quick and friendly, and the food and drinks were top-notch. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience at The Master Mariner.

We had lunch for... read more We decided to go to this restaurant for lunch, but were shocked by their extremely high prices! We then decided to go to Wetherspoons instead. We had lunch for two with two drinks for a cheaper price than the previous restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious. We will not be returning to the first restaurant. Wetherspoons was fantastic. The staff were very attentive, the food was amazing, and the prices were great too.

The chips were delicious, receiving a perfect score of 5 out... read more This cozy pub is located in the marina and offers a limited menu with a good selection of options. The chips were delicious, receiving a perfect score of 5 out of 5. However, the fish was underwhelming considering our coastal location. Despite this, I would happily return as overall the meal was satisfactory.

It's only when I decide to try somewhere else (see my last review) that I realise just what a good deal and great expeience Wetherspoons offer. Great beer at great prices. Great value food that is consistently good. I've tried Wetherspoons all over the UK from Glasgow and Newcastle down to Cambridge. Tim knows how to run a business. Too many pubs and restaurants are only interested in making a sale. Wetherspoons and all good businesses understand that success comes from creating customers that return over and over again. I'm happy to pay premium prices for top quality food and drink but way too many venues don't deliver the premium product but are happy to charge the premium prices. I've been a happy customer of Wetherspoons for many years and hopefully many more!
