Both w... read more We visited during The Open mid July 2023 and ate from the special Golfers’ 2 course menu. I had the pork dish while my husband had the slow roasted lamb. Both were beautifully presented as well as delicious and served with seasonal vegetables cooked to perfection. Homemade bread and butter pudding and baked Alaska followed; both were the best we’ve ever tasted! We were told that this place is all about the food and indeed, the food wouldn’t have been out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. The service did not disappoint either. Julian and Jackie are a fab team. Yes, the decor/ambiance could maybe do with a tweak or two but this place is a hidden gem on The Wirral and great value for money.

The experience was absolutely flawless, with delicious food and impeccable service. Everything was just perfect, and I will definitely be returning. We made the trip from Liverpool and were pleased with the bright and airy atmosphere of the restaurant. We received a warm welcome upon arrival. I ordered the Lamb and my wife had the Rib Eye, both cooked perfectly and served with a selection of vegetables. The dishes arrived hot, which was much appreciated. My wife had some dietary restrictions that were accommodated without any hassle. We definitely recommend this restaurant.
