Legges Restaurant & Motel - Winterton

We stopped for lunch while touring this area. We both had a bowl of vegetable beef soup that was good. Server took our order in a timely fashion and seemed nice.

Took a trip along Rte 80 Baccalieu Trail to visit family and visit the sites once again. Looking out for the ice flows and bergs. Stopped in at Legge's Motel for overnight since we weren't in a hurry on our day trip. Slept very well on very comfortable beds. The room was very clean, neat and tidy. Fridge, stove, microwave and all utensils one would need for a short term stay. This Motel is pet-friendly at no extra charge.

We've been there as a couple, with friends, as a family and had our dart banquet there two years in a row now. We love it as a place to go for any reason. It is small enough to feel cozy but big enough not to feel squashed in with other people too close. We will definitely be going again! (and again...)

I came to Heart's Content for business and arrived at 11:00pm but the motel office closed at 8:00. The town didn't have a lot of cell coverage but I managed to get a couple of bars at the motel so I called the owner at home, which was at 12:30 am, and he came into the motel to check me in. I got into my room and it appeared to have been recently renovated. It was a nice room with comfortable beds plus it was clean. I stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed my little visit in Heart's Content. The food in the restaurant was great, the owners were very accommodating and the staff of the restaurant were friendly. I would stay here again if I am back in the area again.

Nice clean Restaurant, only 3 other patrons at tables so was quiet. Waitress was on the quiet side as well but nice. We both had fish & chips, was good at time. Waitress never ever came back to ck on our meal etc ,,, About 40 min later I was lucky to make it to the next community to use the local W-Mart washroom. My wife was lucky to make it home as she was even more sick than me. Both were sick all night long, will not be returning !
