We went there last week for dinner. The place was quiet as it was quite late. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing with the live music. Food quality and presentation excellent. Taste even better. Memories of Thailand came flooding back. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They also do buffet for lunch!!! We will definitely be back! 100% recommended.

I highly recommend Sanook Winterthur for authentic Thai cuisine lovers. Their menu offers a wide selection of Thai cuisine and every dish has the 'vegetarian ' option. you can feel that it 's a family run restaurant with the way it is chilled out and accommodating. They also have karaoke on some days which are always good fun when you go with a group of friends.

I've been coming here for years, first under Sanook now as Simply Thai. The buffet is always good for the price athmosphere, yes, it feels a bit cheap and tacky, but food is good. Waiter is normally alone, so not the quickest, but as the buffet is ready and topped up regulary.

I went to this restaurant for my birthday dinner and the food was Delish!!! I had prawn pad thai which was yummy but they used a different type of noodles (i think it was glass noodle) but i liked it anyway. My partner had yellow curry and it was delish!! Food rating is 5/5 but i have to say, the ambiance and the place isn't the best so 3/5. Price is a restaurant price but the place doesn't look like a proper restaurant. Overall, happy because the food was nice and the lady was really kind.

I will only give a good or excellent rating if I feel it is deserved. That's not the case with this restaurant. Don't get me wrong the food is delicious, the curry was great! There is more that goes into a restaurant experience other than just the food. Atmosphere is also important. In this case, the restaurant somewhat lacks. It is essentially a big room with no nuances. In one corner is a small stage where a DJ or perhaps a guitar/singer can perform live gigs. From the menu it says this takes place on the weekends. Otherwise, the tables are laid out in rows like a canteen. There was nothing I found inspiring from the atmosphere. Bottom line, for those who are just concerned about the food go for it! It is good Thai food. The only comment I'd add for the owners is please add a bit of variety. We wanted a dessert afterwards, and were told they do not serve dessert. Fair enough, but we had to go to a second restaurant to finish our meal, which is a shame. Being a Thai restaurant, it would have been awesome to have the famous Thai dessert with coconut milk, sticky rice and mango..
