Meal was excellent, service was quick, waitress was very attentive. Had The Met Salad - it was a huge portion and it tasted fresh and delicious. went for a later lunch and we were just about the only table that was busy. View all feedback.
Tonight we visited a donation restocking function in the met (the metropolitan entertainment center.) the function was rush sitting opportunity and started at 7:00 so that we reservations in the all restaurant at the met for 5:45 for our party of 6 confident that. as we are in the sewn building, we should eat a lot of time and get neatly sitting. when we sat, the server gave us a whole menu and took our drink order. a dame in our party said that she had heard of someone who was in this restaurant before there was also a lounge menu from which we could choose. the server advised us that there is a lounge menu and that all 6 of us either have to order the dinner menu or the lounge menu...not a combination of the menus. Although this seemed strange to us, we all agreed and asked to see the lounge menu so that we could decide which menu we wanted to order. the server said “natural” and disappeared to take orders from other tables that sit well after our party. the 6 of us looked at both menus and decided quickly that we all order from the lounge menu. And then we waited 15 minutes for the server to come and our order against their promise "will be with us" every time she went past our table. we got our food and drinks and were rushed to eat and ended almost until the function when we paid. the chicken spears on the chicken salad caesar were too undercooked to eat and the flat brot was very oversalted. since we got our food in the last minute, we couldn't let the chicken cook in the salat anymore, so easy on our tellers. the others on our party said that eating is in order, nothing special, and one of the burgers on our table had promised no speck as on the menu. date night to bad!
It was all good! the meal, the service, the atmosphere. many gluten-free options also. it is hard to believe that this building is old, it is in such large shape.
My husband and I were at The Met with a travel group 15 of us altogether. Everything about our meal was excellent. They managed our large group with ease and the food was served in good time with no long gaps between each of...us getting our appetizers or main course. The food was delicious one of the best meals I'd had in a long time. I had a seafood noddle dish for my main course. It had lots of perfectly seafood in it (not a noddle dish with a few bits of seafood) and a delicate, tasty sauce. I highly recommend The Met.
Beautifully maintained large old theatre. kellner was very professional and attentive very gracious as well. eating came to the table and tasty on time. good price and great for lunch. a great historical experience
What a beautiful restaurant is transformed from an old cultural heritage movie theatre. we sat upstairs in the balcony in an elegant room. the menu is amazing and eating was not disappointed. my man had whispers and frit, and I had a delicious crispy salad with chicken and cheesecake! we will definitely return. we do not often go to the city, as parking can be a problem, but there is a parking space right next door, so don’t let them stop. go online to watch their menu. then go there and enjoy them!
