They re-opened last year at the Forks... read more I was so sad when they closed their St. Mary's location as I loved their empanada, chicken dishes, pastas and sandwiches. They re-opened last year at the Forks in the newly updated food court where there's a wine and beer step up bar. Simon's is one of the few new kiosks there, though their menu has shrunk a bit. You can't get the pastas (which I was sad about) or the chicken dishes but you can definitely still get the empanadas (smaller selection) and the sandwiches that they are so famous for sandwich de milanesa.<br/ <br/ I love their spicy beef empanada $3.70 each which you can get baked or fried. They're great for a light meal. Great flavours and a hint of heat. It's just as delicious as I remember!

Simon makes the s... read more We had the Locro (a stew) and the Sandwich de Milanesa (with egg and cheese). The stew was amazing, with tender chunks of beef and Lima beans. Simon makes the stew for winter and offered us samples, which sold us. If you pair this with a beer flight from The Common, you have an hour well spent.

Simon’s was originally locate... read more The Forks is the middle of an upgrade to their food court. My first chance to try any of the changes was visiting Simon’s Cuisine. Simon’s was originally located on St. Mary’s Road and had recently shut that location down. I had had heard many good things about the restaurant, but never seemed to be by their when they were open. I was very pleased to find out that they had reopened in The Forks. Argentinean cuisine is the order of the day at this restaurant, and they prepare it very well.

Initially, I thought it was a steakhouse located outside the Galeria, but it turned out to be a kiosk. The menu was limited, especially since we love rice. On the positive side, the staff were very pleasant.
