Was Denny Fahland at Pints Empire a mag?
Best Korean Chicken Wings! Ask for half-half regular and spicy. Definitely not a cheap joint. The owner is super friendly but he always try to upsell you some additional stuff (and more expensive dish) ha. Can't blame him for trying. It's a business after all ;D. View all feedback.

What Snoopyfood dislikes about Pints Empire:
I wasn't very impressed. The food was just okay. The person running the place seemed to be constantly frustrated about something. We paid for two hours of karaoke, but we only got to sing for about an hour because he was busy fixing the microphones while we were trying to sing. As for the food, I’ll let you decide if you want to give it a try, but I wouldn’t recommend the karaoke. View all feedback.

Probably the best chicken wings in Winnipeg, top 5 at least. Fresh wings, good size, and deep frying techniques are the best I have seen in Winnipeg...

We checked out Pints Empire last week to try the KFC Korean Fried Chicken. We walked in around 4 and it was empty inside. We took a quick look at the menu and decided to go for the whole chicken (half spicy half normal and the spicy pork. The fried chicken was VERY good! I've had Korean style fried chicken before but with a different type of breading. This is more traditional fried chicken style, double breaded, perfectly crispy and not greasy at all. They also served it with cubed Korean radish, very similar to daikon but a little different in taste. The chef let us know this was to be eaten with the chicken to enhance the flavor, which it definitely did! The spicy pork was a little greasy but just as good. I only have two complaints: the music was a bit too loud, especially since we were the only ones in there. I'm sure it would be less noticeable if it was packed. The second being the language barrier. We originally asked for take out, I don't think they understood and we were stuck eating there, which luckily worked out. I also had said no to rice, because I wanted to make some at home. After the food arrived I asked for rice, but it never came. Obviously if you can speak Korean this won't be an issue. ; Otherwise very good food and I hope to try more in the future.

Dissappointed. Was very excited to try this restaurant out mainly for their korean spicy wings. ..I ended up not trying them out since I just had wings the previous night elsewhere. Once seated we were served LESS THAN HALF a glass of water and were never asked again if we needed more.. which I found really odd. The prices were kind of on the expensive side for me. I ordered samgyupsal pork belly) which was pretty good but for $15.99 i dont see myself ordering it again. It's much more affordable at other restaurants. Also got their caeser salad for $9.99 which i regret the moment i saw it. Too much sauce and very very small portion. I had to clarify if it was caeser salad because it didn't look like it it had tomotaos and peanuts). I'm not sure if I'll ever visit this restaurant again. I may give their wings a try.. but not any time soon.
