It has a unique atmosphere, and we typically enjoy the curry chicken with chickpeas while sharing some doubles. We like to relax on the patio with a couple of Red Stripes, and it’s always been a pleasant experience. However, the service has never been outstanding. This summer, when we arrived, we found the place was locked up! They weren’t closed for business; they just didn’t bother opening on time for lunch that day, so we decided to go somewhere else. I’m not sure if we’ll return.

I used to pop by Deen's a few times a week, would always try a different combination of rice dish and roti. But I must say that the beef/veg and rice is out of this world. As with Deen's Roti, with chicken, shrimp and potatoe, is to die for. Big fan of the curry here. Also, try the Chicken on fries: delicious!

While the interior could use a little love and care, its current appearance adds to its charm! If you haven't visited Deen's yet, you definitely should.

You could really taste the freshness, and it was clear that they make it by hand with love and pride. I also tried the pineapple soda, which paired perfectly with the Roti. I truly believe this place is another hidden gem in St. Boniface. Let's support local businesses! I even bumped into Orlando from Orlando's tailoring nearby, which was a nice surprise.
