We were really looking forward to eating here with friends...a big night out. It was not what we expected . The menu was made up of items to share generally. The sharing portions were very small and not really enough to share. The tastes were very good however. The prices were more than we felt was reasonable for the amount of food served. The biggest disappointment: the restaurant has its own butcher shop attached. W... View all feedback.

The lamb was outstanding. We make duck fat potatoes at home but their's were far superior. For dessert we shared salted caramel gelato and a biscotti. The gelato was luscious. All the wait staff were friendly. Our waitress was extremely helpful.Nice wines are available by the glass. Local craft beers are also available.
I didn't really get why a meat shop should be attached to a restaurant?? Is the meat shop for the locals? The restaurant seating was extremely cold and I wouldn't want to go for an intimate dinner for two. Everything is very exposed, including the kitchen which is okay but the tables so open and the concept of sharing very small very pricey plates certainly did not appeal to us. The menu had way too many choices for such a small type bistro. I had the brisket that only covered undercooked carrots etc good but mashed potatoes would have been better. Steak with only fries was way overpriced. The wine is definitely over the top at $10.00 a glass. A $75.00 bill for two with not much to eat is a reason we will not be back.
This place is brand spanking new and is from the former owners of Bistro 7-1/4; it's located at the corner of tache and marion in StBoniface.
Hubbie and I went for lunch on last Saturday Got there when first opened at 11am Glad we did as it soon filled up I had Muffaletta and the soup.
Very small portions, expensive and noisy place. Very good service, but NOT a place to go too. My second time there but will be my last... We even asked for the chicken to well cooked as it was 'red' blood on it.My friends were not happy!
