I recently visited Bindy's, a Caribbean restaurant located at The Forks, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. Service was friendly and open to answer all my questions of the food. The menu at Bindy's has a variety of Caribbean dishes, ranging from roti wraps (I ordered the bison) and jerk. The shrimps and meat were juicy and tender, and the seasoning was perfect. They also have sodas from Trinidad and Tobago which are really cool. I would highly recommend Bindy's to anyone looking for a flavorful and authentic Caribbean dinning experience. Great selection which includes vegan options. They were busy when I went and had to wait about ten minutes for the food, but it was worth the wait. I had the vegetable roti, which is vegan, and is highly recommended. I can’t wait to go back next time I am in Winnipeg.

The doubles here are insulting to Trini people. They should be called Salty Dough disguised as doubles. Everything was so salty I had to get my blood pressure checked after.

I ordered the Jerk Shrimp Rice and Vegetables today. As I told the lady my order, she visibly rolled her eyes and sounded annoyed as she passed my order to her other coworker. I saw them pull a baggy out from the fridge and put the shrimp and veggie on the hot pan. Microwaved the beans and rice. The salad was made to order, which was good. After the order was made, she handed it to me like I had just inconvenienced her from ordering there. The food was okay, but everything else was bad. I'm never going to go there or recommend this place to anyone.
