We always enjoy our breakfasts on Saturday or Sunday morning when we experience Alto's brunch buffets. This time a few of us took advantage of the chef's egg omlets - they were great! View all feedback.
What Victor Tillman doesn't like about Aaltos:
Ordered oatmeal, which was supposed to be served with raisins, cinnamon and brown sugar; never saw anything in the bowl except the oatmeal. When I asked our server if milk was included he said no, so I asked for a small pitcher of milk to add. He brought me ONE coffee creamer. Added some brown sugar off the table but the oatmeal was already room temperature. There were about 12 people in the whole restaurant and it t... View all feedback.
The speck didn't even look boiled. the touch was very embarrassing no taste, which was so ever. the meatballs were okay while the perogies were terrible. juices were extra. mcdonalds makes better pancakes. I would say that eating is comparable to hospital food. the service. was also missing. that was the East brunch.
We stayed for 4 nights in the hotel so that we eat in the restaurant several times from comfort. overall the service is terrible! we had to wait forever for our drinks and eating, although we were the only people in the restaurant during lunch. a waitress, we had them twice, we spilled our drinks on the table. our last visit to our waitress disappeared after taking our food order and reappeared when we got our bill. we will not eat here again and therefore we will not stay in this hotel again.
As an breakfast restaurant, it offered only average eating. eating that was delivered to the celebrations dinner theater was hit and miss! (also see my Celebrations review). another complain we had from the canad in the kitchen was once while we had breakfast before we left. the hotel, although the restaurant was practically empty, the service was so slow that it took about two hours to have breakfast. we thought eating was quite good at this time, they need to cook "with different water when they do for the celebrations dinner theater. read my review for celebrations dinner theater.
Servers were not around so me and my family seated ourselves (10 min wait) Servers seemed short staff and rushy Food was delicious and fresh When I ordered the breakfast meal, my sausage looked raw but it tasted cooked and after I became sick
My wife and I decided to have brunch today at Aalto's Garden City. SERVICE The service was fine. The woman who seated us was friendly. The décor was average. VALUE? Our issue was the value aspect of the buffet. Having been to many buffets, I...found the value here lacking. Although there was a small assortment of mainly melons, there wasn't much of a fruit selection. There was a basic salad bar. Behind the glass, they had bacon, sausages (not great), ham (very dry), cubed deep fried potatoes (okay), scrambled eggs, and French toast (not very good), fish (very dry). The omelet was just okay. I DID NOT LIKE They would not cook two fried eggs (NOT made to order) as I had hoped at the omelet station I was directed to order that from the menu separately. There was an okay assortment of deserts, (I had a)piece of apple pie (it was okay), cookies, brownies, donut holes, muffins etc , including a chocolate fountain. At $20 each, coffee was NOT included! How many pennies per cup does it cost a restaurant to include coffee? For this reason, the added $3 on top of the $20 for the meal plus GST and PST taxes, ends up being close to $30 each for mediocre food. We should have ordered a $13 bacon and egg plate (Not good value either) instead. Or better yet, we should have gone somewhere else. I believe we will go somewhere else for brunch next time.
