I didn't like a few things from the jump, however, this is an old small restaurant by the airport, I have to give someleeway and it is a nice theme. I love their menu but I went there for the tuna melt and I stuck to my guns, andI had a cup of chilli and fries. Everything on the menu is ala carte, and thats my thing with Mexican restaurants so I need tobe equitable (LOL!! . THEYVE GOT FRIED WHOLEBELLY CLAMS, $12.95 on a role, very fair price, I've got to go back. No frills, Ihad to get my own water and the cups were tiny, so I got 3.Prices seemed fair and you get what you get, you'll like it I think.

Sweet enough staff but one person was eating with their fingers in front of us and then never washed her hands : . Notreally an appetizing ordeal to say the least. The food was ok normal dinner options once again.

The food is always cooked to perfection, and the service is always above and beyond. If you are looking for anostalgic place to eat, Skooters is where you need to go!

I've always avoided it because it's 50s theme and growing up spent so much timecar cruises and I've had my fill of 50s music. I decided to go this morning though and, wow, I have been missingout. Not only was the food great, but I was given a free show by Mona Lisa and her best friend Trudy. Two wonderful women thatworked so perfectly in sync they must have been doing it for years. From the outside the place looks so much larger than it is.When you walk in it's set up like an old school diner, counter on the right facing the grill, and a few small tables along thewall on the left. I had coffee to go with my breakfast which was great. I did notice that it was a self-serve fountain drinkswhich was needed because these two women working had so much to do but yet made me and everyone inside feel welcomed andappreciated. It almost makes me want to have more short layovers layovers in Hartford so I can come back to enjoy this place.Almost ???? I will be making it back to Skooter's anytime I do though.
