Contribute FeedbackAl Fassia in Windsor is a Moroccan restaurant that offers a wide variety of vegan options and provides an authentic culinary experience. The cozy ambiance and helpful staff make for a pleasant dining experience, with enough French dishes to cater to different palates. While some reviewers were disappointed in the portion sizes and service quality, others praised the delicious food, extensive menu choices, and exemplary service. From flavorful tagines to fluffy couscous, Al Fassia offers a taste of Morocco in the heart of Windsor. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant comes highly recommended for those seeking an authentic dining experience.
We do not love far away and have visited a few times in the last 20 years. always authentic, tasteful, well cooked dishes (recommend their tagines). much to choose and excellent fast service. but if they choose the Moroccan bakery for dessert, they are not. baklava, but cookies. I prefer the pancakes. the only thing is that it no longer has the Moroccan ambiente that it used to have for years. there are soft furniture in the ground floor, no later or soft lighting or music. it can be a bit loud when full as it is small. but with the bright ceiling lights and basic equipment it could be a caffe anywhere. it has a carved screen along the back wall and tee lights on the tables but no other Moroccan touches that is a canal. much more could be made with the interior decor to feel the atmosphere warm and cozy. the room on the upper floor is more authentic but closed.
We met last night for a night here that we stayed in windsor. such a beautiful restaurant with very attentive and courteous service. it was a really quiet evening during the week, but everything was wonderful. fantastic eating and service. would definitely recommend.
Quiet Sunday evening but still a good atmosphere with attentive service. We decided to have the set menu to try many dishes and wasn’t disappointed! Excellent assortment of starters (hot cold) and main courses with the lamb with apricot and prunes and the lemon...chicken both fantastic and full of flavour! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
First I should qualify that I lived in Maroc for 18 months and that we were celebrating my half Moroccan daughter's birthday with her brother and the rest of our family. So we know what good looks when it comes to Moroccan food and this...place is awesome. Not just that we ate upstairs and were transported to Marakesh and given true Arab hospitality and excellent service. Great evening, great food, we'll definitely be back.
This was the first time we had visited a Moroccan restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Fatima was excellent and guided us in our choices – all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. We shared a large meze of hot and cold starters followed by...main courses of a lamb tagine and a couscous dish with caramelised onions, apricots, sultanas and prunes. The Moroccan couscous was unbelievably light and fluffy unlike any couscous we’ve ever had before. All wines on the list were from Morocco and Fatima offered us a taste of two red wines before we finally chose a slightly more expensive wine which was excellent. The mint tea was also most enjoyable. Next time we’re in Windsor we’ll definitely return and try more of Fatima’s suggestions!
