I found this place from online reviews. I ordered the schnitzel sandwich (called a schnitty, should have know, you don't call it that in Melbourne). After waiting a seemingly excessive time (almost 15 minutes), I was watching the cook move slowly around the kitchen area. I saw him finishing what seemed to be my sandwich when I saw him notice some food from my sandwich on his finger. This is where it went downhill for me. The cook looked around to see if anyone nearby was watching, turned his back an put his entire finger into his mouth to clean to food from his hand. He then proceeded to handle my food wrapping it up and handed it to the lady serving to give to me. I point out his actions which he first tried to downplay saying it was an absent minded action. It was intentional in my view, in fact, steps were taken to conceal it. I promptly asked for my $16 back which was quickly returned. I won't be back even though the sandwich looked nice (im not keen on having the enitirety of his oral flora entering my mouth). At your own risk I would say. Coffee was on par with pretty much anything in Melbourne but the real magic of this cafe is the built-in bench seating. Must be a good 5-10cm higher than a regular chair. A special time for anyone 6’8” or over Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
