Steers - Windhoek
Steers
Description
A clean, casual Windhoek burger spot earns praise for standout burgers and friendly delivery staff but struggles with inconsistent kitchen performance and spotty service. Guests report long waits, unanswered phone orders, and occasionally stale buns and chips. When the team is engaged the food impresses, but reliability issues—especially with phone handling and timing—make it a poor choice if you’re in a hurry.

Service: First, my calls went unanswered. When we arrived, we were greeted but then left waiting while the staff chatted. After apologizing three times, we were informed that none of our menu choices were available. There was no bacon, and they couldn't provide any extra chips. To top it off, they had turned off the ice machine. Frustrated by the poor service, I decided to order just one meal. To my disappointment, when I got home, I found that the chicken was dry and lacked sauce, and the fries were cold and burnt. When we attempted to go back, the restaurant was already closed and the staff was cleaning up. What a waste of my $250.
Absolutely pathetic. I've been waiting for 40 minutes so they're just telling me they haven't started giving me a refund or calling a manager at the service. I just lost a customer.
If I could, I would give them a negative rating. I understand that flies can be an issue for everyone, but if you leave a customer's order unattended for five minutes, do you really think the flies won't get all over it? To make matters worse, when I cancelled my order because of this, they started repacking the fly-infested food into containers for the next customer—with the manager fully aware of what was happening.
