I recently visited Podda and Wren coffee shop, first stopping by for takeaway during the Christmas season. The shop is conveniently located and offers delicious cakes. I believe it would benefit from a refurbishment and the option for customers to sit in. I returned with my family to enjoy tea and cake, and found the owners to be very friendly. What Grant Richards dislikes about Banilla Bakery At Podda And Wren:
dipped and immediately loved the place. the girls are very friendly and the cakes are delicious. I couldn't help but grab three of the cinnamon rolls, a bakewell cake and a jammy dodger cake to bring home. all taste excellent. also the quality of the coffee is very high. could no longer recommend. A fully vegan bakery. I bought a loaf of local sourdough, a peanut butter blonde and a Cornish style pasty. The pasty was absolutely amazing!!
Lovely brownies and blondies that we had whilst visiting Kendal. The friendly owner can deliver locally for free or can be picked up. Also great that they did not contain nuts or coconut oil to which my son is intolerant (but not severely allergic). Most of all tasted great and all vegan for a wonderful treat!
We also grabbed some more takeaway cake and pies. In November 2023, I came across their mobile coffee van at Kendal Mountain Festival, where I enjoyed excellent coffee and cake. I revisited in December 2023 and noticed they had added more decorations and seats. This venue prioritizes ethics, with no dairy products on site and a commitment to responsibly sourcing coffee, tea, and chocolate. Overall, a wonderful spot for a treat!
