American Lobster - Wind Gap
American Lobster
Description
In a mixed bag of experiences, local patrons share a range of sentiments about their dining outings. While some celebrate delightful meals and attentive service—especially for special occasions—their positive remarks are often overshadowed by tales of long waits, incorrect orders, and lackluster food quality. Many note that despite the restaurant's vibrant atmosphere and potential, service inconsistencies, such as meals arriving at different times and orders being mixed up, detract from the overall experience. While certain dishes shine, particularly seafood offerings, others leave diners disappointed, prompting suggestions to seek alternatives for a more reliable experience.

Best meal I had all year. I live close and never went here and I am glad I did. I usually don’t go out much because I cook better than almost anywhere. Well here I had a meal better than I can make. Is it pricey, a little bit yes. Was it worth it yes for me it was. I went on a Friday and got the last table. Ordered appetizers and food. It all came out fast and one course right after the other. Lobster was really good and hot. Steak was perfectly done. I also got mushrooms and the were flavored well wish I knew what they did with those. Also the butter for lobster and clams was flavorful and above normal grade. Overall super happy, I haven’t written a review in years, but American Lobster earned it. Thanks for the great meal, I will be back again and would recommend it to anyone. While the gator tacos and french onion soup was really good. I ordered the shrimp and scallop scampi. Are one shrimp it was ok and took a bite of scallop and it immediately made me sick. Cook said maybe it was just the two flavors combining but I love scallop scampi. To me the scallop tasted off like it was bad I didn't try the other. It was 2 scallops and 4 shrimp in a small dish of noodles. Will not return. Over priced massively for the amount. Price per person: $50–100 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Great Bloody Mary. Very disappointed in the wrap though. Ordered the salmon wrap with mango slaw. Waitress did let me know they were out of salmon and asked if I would like blackened shrimp instead to which I agreed. However, wish I had been told they were out of mango slaw as well. It had a pineapple salsa instead. I felt insulted; as if I wouldn’t know the difference.
