Cooking classes informative. Pub nights delicious and entertaining. Take home dinners are easy and tasty. This former barn has been turned into an event, catering, and sometimes dine in venue. We expected it to be busy and it was. I had heard many good things about the food and had been there once before for an anniversary dinner that was very good. We were seated upstairs, the buffet was downstairs which made it rather awkward. The bacon and eggs were good, the chicken was disappointing, it was dry and had very little flavour. The roasted potatoes were average. The apple stuffed maple crepes left a lot to be desired. The desserts were nothing special. Several of the ones offered were not available when I went to the dessert table. They looked better than they tasted. The fruit platter was nice, the pineapple was very good. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I understand that it was an extremely busy day but felt that it was overpriced for the quality and selection of food. I would not go back for an event like Mother's Day but would probably give it another chance on a regular weekend.
You will not find a friendlier place, nor a more delicious menu anywhere. We have brunch here when we can, and dinner when available. The staff are fantastic, and I cannot say enough about the incredible food. Also wheelchair accessible.
We are never disappointed with the excellent food and country decor, when we've rented their space for business functions. They also have a beautiful room with cathedral ceilings which would be lovely for a wedding. One of the Owners was Prime Minister Harpers personal Chef. Excellent quality food. Well worth the drive to Winchester. Just wish they were open daily!
This quaint and very beautiful place is a gem hidden in a small village. It is a barn type building with the inside a delightful treat. The food it the best I have ever tasted. Fresh, hot, so full of taste and so beautiful !!! The presentation is amazing and the staff are wonderful. very welcoming. I have been here for special occasions, special parties and ordered their take out meals and even attended at cooking class. AMAZING!!!!
I'm not able to get out for Thursday nights as often or Sunday brunch due to my schedule. I can attest to the delis-factor first hand. Brunch is an experience no one should miss. Thursday nights is a great meal every week and it's so nice to have fine dining right at home. Looking forward to picking up my small family's Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday. You Gotta Eat Winchelsea
