Barwon Winchelsea

This might be the best $15 chicken parmigiana I've ever had! The cold beer was refreshing, and the service was fantastic. It was absolutely worth the 30-minute drive. I will definitely return!

Since we were attending a live show at the hotel, the main dining area was arranged for the event, and all meals were served in the bar area or outside. I suspect the combination of many new staff members and the unusual setup contributed to a bit of disorganization. The table numbers didn’t seem to be in any particular order, which made it hard for the staff to know where to deliver the meals, despite the table numbers being displayed. All the staff were friendly, and the venue is fantastic for live music, so I would definitely return—though next time, I’d opt for an appetizer as my main dish.

Charming countryside hotel with a wonderful old-world charm. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. Just a heads-up for winter, though – it's a bit on the chilly side, so be sure to bundle up. But that's exactly why they serve delicious beer and hot meals!

Never had crumbed sausages before but have now and they were great

A quaint pub with excellent views of the surrounding gardens. The staff are lovely and the food is very affordable. My schnitzel came out piping hot and was cooked perfectly. My friend asked for something that was not on the menu and the kitchen gave her what she wanted (nearing the close of kitchen hours too). Their customer service is exceptional. Definitely check out the Barwon Hotel next time you pass through Winchelsea.
