What Daily Gaming doesn't like about Rita's Italian Ice Frozen Custard:
I have been there a few times. Place is new and clean. Staff are nice. When I come here my kids enjoys ice cream vanilla with sprinkles cone and milkshake. I on the other hand with my wife try more the Italian ice. They taste more like slushy because of how watery they are. My rating would be a 2 star but their vanilla ice cream and milkshake offset it. I will continue to go there but not for the italian ice sorry. View all feedback.
Rita's is back! It used to be in this area a long time ago, and I'm thrilled to see one of my favorites returning! The service was quick, attentive, and friendly. I really appreciate the diverse staff, at least during my afternoon visit—keep it up! They offered a fantastic selection of Italian ice and toppings, and they were very generous with the portions (unlike some places where you have to ask multiple times just to get a decent serving). Everything appeared very clean and new! Wishing you all the best as you thrive!
I've visited this place a few times now. It's new and clean, and the staff are friendly. My kids really enjoy the vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and milkshakes. My wife and I, however, tend to opt for the Italian ice, which we found to be a bit too watery and more reminiscent of slushies. If it weren't for the delicious vanilla ice cream and milkshakes, I would rate it only two stars. That said, I will keep coming back, but I’ll steer clear of the Italian ice.
While frozen treats aren’t typically my thing, I do enjoy Italian ice. One of the staff members, Alexa, suggested a gelati with cheesecake custard paired with tropical paradise Italian ice. It turned out to be a fantastic combination, and I really enjoyed it. I can’t say I’ve ever had cheesecake-flavored custard before, and despite not usually liking coconut, I found it to be a nice surprise. I had a slightly torn coupon from a receipt I picked up at Winn-Dixie, and the staff seemed a bit puzzled by it, but it worked! I ended up paying since I needed to break a bill, but the prices were very reasonable for what my co-worker and I ordered. Next time I visit, I want to try a frozen drink, the blendini, and a misto shake—one after the other! I’m also interested in trying another gelati. I saw on their website that they offer cream ices, which I’m unfamiliar with, so I’ll add that to my list as well. The dragon fruit Italian ice looks intriguing too. So many flavors to explore and not much time! I’m looking forward to my next visit.
We visited the restaurant on a Tuesday night and arrived late, so there was no wait. Our server was a very friendly young man who allowed us to try any flavors we wanted. The three of us chose different ices, and each one was delicious! I can't wait to return.
The staff was friendly and attentive, allowing the kids to sample different flavors to find what they liked. We will definitely return to try more items on the menu.
